BUCHNERA, in botany, a genus of the didynamia angiofermae clais. The calyx has five teeth; the corolla is divided into five equal heart-shaped segments; and the capsule is bilocular. There are three species, viz. The americana, a native of Canada and Virginia; the africana, a native of Ceylon and China; and the Africana, a native of Ethiopia.
