in botany, a genus of the pentandria digynia class. The corolla is radiated; the fruit is hairy, and the involucre are entire. There are six species, three of which are natives of Britain, viz. the arvensis, or small corn-parsley; the anthriscus, or hedge-parsley; and the leptophylla, or fine-leaved bastard parsley.
