The species are eight, six of which are natives of Britain, viz. the officinalis, or common scurvy-graft, the leaves of which are famous for curing the scurvy; the groenlandica, or Groenland scurvy-graft; the anglica, or common sea scurvy grafts; the danica, or Danish scurvy-graft; the coronopus, or swine-creepers; and the armoracia, or horse-radish.
