or Corise, in heraldry, is the fourth part of the bend; and with us seldom if ever borne but in couples, with a bend between them. See Bend.

The bend thus bordered, is said to be cotised; as, he bears sable, on a bend cotised argent, three cinquefoils. See Plate LXV. fig. 11.
