Viper's bugloss, in botany, a genus of the pentandra monogynia clasps. The corolla is irregular, with a naked fauces. There are seven species, three of which are natives of Britain, viz. the vulgare, or viper's bugloss; the anglicum, or English viper's bugloss; and the italicum, or wall-viper's bugloss.
