in botany, a genus of the triandra dignia clas. The calix consists of two linear, truncated valves; there are five species, three of them natives of Britain, viz. the pratense, or meadow cat's-tail-grass; the paniculatum, or branched cat's-tail-grass; and the nodosum, or bulbose cat's-tail-grass.
