or Points of Suspension, in mechanics, are those points in the axis or beam of a balance, wherein the weights are applied, or from which they are suspended. See MECHANICS.

Suspension of Arms, in war, a short truce agreed on by both armies, in order to bury the dead, wait for fresh instructions, or the like.
