Cock's-foot grass; a genus of the digynia order, belonging to the triandra class of plants. There are two species, the cynofoideae or smooth cock's-foot grass, and the glomeratus or rough cock's-foot grass. Both are natives of Britain: the first grows in marshy places, and the latter is common in meadows and pasture-grounds. This last is eaten by horses, sheep, and goats; but refused by cows.
