(John de), a Protestant minister of the province of Burgundy. He was studying at Geneva when it was reported there that Villegagnon desired they would send him some pastors into Brazil. He made made that voyage with two ministers, whom the church of Geneva sent thither in 1556; and wrote an account of that voyage, which has been much commended by Thuanus and others.
