NEMESIANUS

(Aurelius Olympius), a Latin poet, born at Carthage, who wrote a poem on the chace, intitled Cynegeticon, and four eclogues, which are still extant. This poet lived under the reign of Carus and his sons Carinus and Numerianus, about the year 281. People were so fond of his poem in the eighth and ninth centuries, that young men were obliged to read it in the public schools.
