Oculus Belli, in natural history, one of the semi-pellucid gems, of a greyish white colour, variegated with yellow, and with a black central nucleus: it is of a roundish form, and its variegations very beautifully represent the pupil and iris of the eye; whence the name.

Oculus Mundi, one of the semi-pellucid gems, of a whitish-grey colour, without any variegations.
