(John), an eminent surgeon, anatomist, and reader in surgery at Ghent, the place of his birth; acquired great reputation by his learning and works. The principal of these are, 1. A treatise on Ostecology, in 12mo, Paris 1731. 2. Anatomy of the human body, in 2 vols 8vo, Paris 1734. He died at Ghent at a great age, in 1730.
