(Antonine), a town of the Helvetii, situated between the Lacus Lanfonus and Salodurum; called Petenifca by Peutinger. Thought now to be Biel, (Cloverius); the capital of a small territory in Switzerland.

PENEUS, (Strabo); a river running through the middle of Thessaly, from west to east, into the Siuss Thermaicus, between Olympus and Ossa, near Tempe of Thessaly, rising in mount Pindus, (Ovid, Val. Flaccus).
