from aer, air, and γραφειν, I describe; a description of the air, or atmosphere, its limits, dimensions, properties, &c.—This amounts to much the same with aerology, unless we suppose the latter to enter into the rational, and the former to confine itself to a description of the more obvious affections thereof.
