in commerce, is a term chiefly used in Holland, and at Venice, to signify the difference between the value of bank-stock and the current coin. The agio in Holland is generally three or four per cent., and at Rome it is from 15 to 25 per cent, but at Venice the agio is fixed at 20 per cent.
