a sect among the Mahometans who deny any eternal, fixed, divine decrees, and are asserters of free will. The word is formed from the Arabic alkadár, which signifies "decree." The Alkadarii are a branch of Motazalites, and stand opposed to the Alghabarii. See ALGHABARI.
