a town of Switzerland, in the canton of Bern, on the river Aar. It is small, but very strong, being Arbuscula being seated on a rock, and defended by a good fortres cut out of the rock. E. Long. 17.55. N. Lat. 47.10.

ARBUSCULA is used by Bradley to denote a little or dwarf tree, above the rank of shrubs but below that of trees; such, e. gr. as the elder.
