a store-house of arms, or a place wherein military habiliments are kept, to be ready for use. There are armouries in the Tower, and in all arsenals, citadels, castles, &c.

ARMOUR is also used for a branch of heraldry; being the knowledge of coat-armours, as to their blazons, and various imitations.
