(anc. geog.), a small city of the Turdetani, in Baetica, (Ptolemy); now Arcos, a hamlet of Andalusia, on the confines of Portugal and Estramadura, on the river Gama, seven leagues to the east of Aruci Novum or Moura. From it a mountain, in its neighbourhood, takes the name Arucitanus. Now la Sierra de Arcos.
