(anc. geog.), an ancient name of Bi- Bithynia, so called from the Bebryces its inhabitants. The Bebryces were afterwards driven out by the Thracians, viz. the Bithyni and Thyni; from whom, in process of time, the country took the name of Bithynia. See Bithynia.
