a fortified town of Italy in the Monfene. It was taken by Prince Eugene in 1702; and by the French in 1703, who were obliged to abandon it in 1707. It is seated near the confluence of the rivers Linza and Po, in E. Long. 10° 30'. N. Lat. 44° 55'.
