an island in the East Indian ocean, about 12 miles distant from the south-east part of the island of Macasar, or Celebes. The inhabitants are small, but well shaped, and of a dark olive complexion. The principal town is Callafijung, which is about a mile from the sea, on the top of a small hill, and round it a stone wall. The houses are not built upon the ground, but on posts.
