TOAD-GRASS: A genus of the monogynia order, belonging to the diandria clas of plants; and in the natural method ranking under the 22nd order, Caryophyllaceae. The calyx is quinquedentate; there is no corolla; the berry is monospermous. There is but one species, viz. the tenuifolia, a native of Britain.
