or Kaana, a town in Upper Egypt, seated on the eastern banks of the river Nile, from whence they carry corn and pulse for the supply of Mecca in Arabia. E. Long. 32° 23'. N. Lat. 24° 30'. Here are several monuments of antiquity yet remaining, adorned with hieroglyphics.
