in law, a writ of entry granted where a tenant, by courtesy or for life, aliens either in fee, in tail, or for the term of another's life. It is brought by him in reversion against the person to whom such tenant does alien to the prejudice of the reversioner in the tenant's life-time.

CASU-PROVISIO, in law, a writ of entry founded on the statute of Gloucester, where a tenant in dower aliens the lands she holds in fee, or for life; and lies for the party in reversion against the aliener.
