CIBALÆ, or CIBALIS, (anc. geog.), a town of Pannonia Inferior, on an eminence, near the lake Hiluka, to the north-west of Sirmium; the country of the emperor Gratian, where he was brought up to rope-making: a place rendered famous for the surplice and defeat of Licinius by Constantine.
