Coating of Vials, Panes of Glass, &c. among electricians, is usually performed by covering the outside of the vial with tinfoil, brafs or gold-leaf, &c. and filling its inside with loose pieces of brafs-leaf, by which means it becomes capable of being charged. See Electricity.
