sect in the fifth century. Their first leader was Severus of Antioch; who was succeeded by John the grammarian named Philoponus, and one Theodosius whose followers were also called Theodofians. Part of them, who were willing to receive a book composed by Theodosius on the Trinity, made a separate body, and were called Contobabletes, from some place, which Nicephorus does not mention, but which must apparently have been the place where they held their assemblies. The Contobabletes allowed of no bishops; which is the only circumstance given us concerning them.

Contor, Condor, or Condur, the American name of a species of Vultur.
