in anatomy, is applied to several parts of the animal structure; as corpus callosum, corpus cavernosum, &c. See Anatomy, p. 739, and p. 740.

Corpus is also used in matters of learning, for several works of the same nature collected and bound together.

Gratian made a collection of the canons of the Corpus church, called corpus canonum. The corpus of the civil law is composed of the digest, code, and institutes. We have also a corpus of the Greek poets; and another of the Latin poets.
