a town of Poland in the palatinate of Cracovia, with a fort, in which they keep a rich treasure, called "the treasure of the virgin Mary." The pilgrims flock hither for much for the sake of a convent near it, that it is called the Loreto of Poland. The town is situated on the river in Warte, E. Long. 19° 15'. N. Lat. 50° 48'.
