(James), a physician in Normandy, in the 16th century, wrote a History of Plants, and was well skilled in polite learning. He wrote notes on Pliny's Natural History, and translated Athenaeus into Latin. He practised physic at Lyons from 1552 to 1558, when he died, aged 75.
