DILATORY PLEAS

in law, are such as are put DILATRIS in merely for delay; and there may be a demurrer to a dilatory plea, or the defendant shall be ordered to plead better, &c. The truth of dilatory pleas is to be made out by affidavit of the fact, &c. by flat. 4 and 5 Anne. See PLEA.
