anciently Iberus, a large river of Spain, which, taking its rise in Old Castile, runs thro' Biscay and Arragon, passes by Saragossa, and, continuing its course thro' Catalonia, discharges itself with great rapidity into the Mediterranean, about 20 miles below the city of Tortosa.
