a wholesome sort of jelly made of oat-meal.
The manner of preparing it is as follows. Put three large handfuls of finely ground oat-meal to steep, for 24 hours, in two quarts of fair water: then pour off the clear water, and put two quarts of fresh water to it. it; strain it through a fine hair-sieve, putting in two spoonfuls of orange-flower water and a spoonful of sugar: boil it till it is as thick as a hafly-pudding, stirring it continually while it is boiling, that it may be very smooth.
