(anc. geogr.), a considerable city of Argolis. It was in ruins (except a few temples) in the time of Pausanias; who says that the new city was at the distance of four stadia from the promontory on which the temple of Neptune stood. It gave name to the Sinus Hermionicus, a part of the Sinus Argolicus.
