He carefully prayed to God to bless his prescriptions, and published a form of prayer upon this subject. He also wrote, 1. A treatise on the qualities of a good physician. 2. Another on the qualities of a good apothecary. 3. A treatise of the plague, in German. 4. A commentary in libros Hippocratis de cordis, and other works.

Horstius (Gregory), nephew of the former, called the Aesculapius of Germany, published several books, which are esteemed.
