capital city of a province of that name in Persia, seated in E. Long. 56° 30' N. Lat. 30°. The province lies in the south part of Persia, on the Persian gulph. The sheep of this country, towards the latter end of the spring, shed their wool, and become as naked as fucelling pigs. The principal revenue of the province consists in these fleeces.
