(anc. geog.) so called from its white colour (Strabo); a promontory of the Bruttii, in the territory of Rhecium: the termination of the Apennine. The outmost extremity of the Bruttii, or the modern Calabria Ulva; as the Japygium is of the ancient Calabria, or the modern Calabria Citra.
