or MAGDOL, (anc. geog.), a place in the Lower Egypt, on this side Pihahiroth, or between it and the Red Sea, towards its extremity. The term denotes a tower or fortrefs. It is probably the Magdolium of Herodotus, seeing the Septuagint render it by the same name.
