(sometimes written Moyra), a town of Ireland, situated in the county of Down and province of Ulster, 69 miles from Dublin; noted for its linen manufacture, and a monthly market for vending the same. It gives title of earl to the family of Rawdon. Lord Moira has here a very beautiful seat; and here is a handsome church, a charity school, and two dissenting meeting-houses.
