a port little known, on the coast between Goa, the capital of the Portuguese settlements in India, and the English settlement of Bombay. Mr Renne conjectures it to be the Nurias of Pliny; near which the pirates cruized for the Roman ship. The same writer places it near to $15^\circ 52' 30''$ North Latitude, and $73^\circ 16' 30''$ East Longitude.
