a large river of Poland, which rises in Lithuania, where it passes by Bielica, Grodno, and Konno; it afterwards runs through part of Samogitia and Ducal Prussia, where it falls into the lake called the Curish-bag, by several mouths, of which the most northern is called the Rys, being the name of a town it passes by.
