(Pliny, Strabo, Dio), an extensive country of Europe, having the Danube on the north, Dalmatia on the south, Noricum on the west, and Moesia on the east. It is divided into Superior and Inferior (Ptolemy, Dio). The common boundary between both were the river Arabo and mount Cetius, having the Superior to the west, and the Inferior on the east side.
