(James), a doctor of physic, and an eminent mathematician, was born at Mans in 1517, and died at Paris in 1582. He was an excellent Latin and French poet, a good orator, physician, and grammarian. He wrote Oeuvres Poetiques, Commentaires Latins sur Euclide, &c.
