The male calyx is quinquepartite; there is no corolla, but there are 15 filaments. The female calyx is quinquepartite; there is no corolla; the germen is placed on a pillar, and the capsule is quinquelocular, and many-seeded. There are three species, the balanghas, ficifida, and plataniolium, all foreign plants.
