FRIO

Volume 1 · 69 words · 1810 Edition

a small island on the coast of the Brafils, situated in 32° 2' S. Lat. and 41° 3' 45" W. Long. The land of Frio is high, with a hollow in the middle, which gives it, at a distance, the appearance of two separate islands. The passage between the island and the continent is about a mile broad, and seemed to Sir Erasmus Gower to be clear from shoals.
