FUGUE, whatever is proper to burn or make a fire; as wood, turf, peat, bituminous earths, coal, &c.

FUEN-ho, a city of China, in the province of Po-tcheli, celebrated for its extent and the number of its inhabitants, as well as for the beauty of its streets and triumphal arches. It is situated near the great wall, amidst mountains; and has under its jurisdiction, besides two cities of the second, and eight of the third class, a great number of fortresses, which bar the entrance of China against the Tartars.
