a place five miles from Doncaster, noted for a medicinal spring. It is a strong sulphurous water, and is slightly impregnated with a purging salt. It is recommended internally and externally in strumous and other ulcers, scabs, leprosy, and similar complaints. It is good in chronic obstructions, and in cases of worms and foulness of the bowels.
