or Buglana, a province of the kingdom of Dekkan in the Mogul's empire. It is bounded on the north and east by Guzerat and Ballagat; and on the south and west by that part of Vifapour called Konbau, belonging to the Mahrattas. It ends in a point at the sea coast between Daman and Balfora, and is the least province in the kingdom. The Portuguese territories begin in this province at the port Daman, 21 leagues south of Surat; and run along the coast by Balaim, Bombay, and Chawli, to Dadul, almost 50 leagues to the north of Goa.
