Brennagium, in middle age writers, a kind of tribute paid in lieu of bran, or bran itself, which the tenants were obliged to furnish for the support of the lord's hounds. The word is also written brennage, brenagium, and brenaige, bernagium, bernaticum, and brennaticum.
